WHAT IS A JEAN MONNET CHAIR?
The Jean Monnet Chairs are an initiative of the European Union designed to foster teaching in EU studies embodied in the official curriculum of a higher education institution and provide in-depth knowledge on EU matters in areas increasingly in demand in the labour market. Jean Monnet Chairs are part of the Jean Monnet Programme, named after one of the founding fathers of the European integration process. The Jean Monnet Programme encourages teaching, research and reflection in the field of European integration studies in higher education institutions.
